This year marks the 16th edition of Volleyball Canada's Annual Fundraising Auction, which will take place on-line via eBay and at Shops of Winnipeg Square from March 15th - 19th, 2010!
For the first time, the event will take place solely online through eBay's Charity Auctions service.
The Shops of Winnipeg Square will remain as the physical home of the auction, with items available for viewing and computer terminals set up for interested bidders.
All proceeds from the auction go to support our National Men's and Women's Volleyball teams, as they pursue success on the international stage.

Daria Rabotkina returns to perform Ravel’s celebrated piano concerto, written for one hand only and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, which remains an American classic – it was even performed at the 50th Grammy Awards ceremony in 2008.

In the summer of 1959 Captain Tyler Olsen, a flight instructor stationed at the Air Base in Moose Jaw, received orders of a temporary assignment in Gimli, MB. The Captain took along his son Sandy who found a job working at a summer camp for kids. There Sandy met Danielle Zuko and, of course, the two of them fell deeply and passionately into teenage love! At the end of the summer Danielle had to return to Winnipeg and Sandy's Dad was awaiting new orders to an undisclosed location. The two young lovers bid each other a sad farewell and shared one last kiss.

Alegría is a Cirque du Soleil classic and an internationally acclaimed production that has entertained more than 10 million people worldwide since its world premiere in Montreal in 1994. In May 2009, Alegría embarked on a new journey, performing the same mesmerizing production, but now in arenas throughout North Ametrica, giving more people the opportunity to enjoy a Cirque du Soleil show in their own town.
The Show: Alegría is a Spanish word for happiness, joy and jubilation and features an international cast of 55 performers and musicians from 17 countries and showcases breathtaking acrobatics. Acts include the Synchro Trapeze and the intense and high-energy Aerial High Bars in which daring aerialists fly to catchers swinging more than 40 feet above the stage. The vibrancy of youth is alive in Power Track, a brilliant display of synchronized choreography and tumbling on a trampoline system hidden under the stage floor. In Russian Bars, artists fly through the air and perform spectacular somersaults and mid-air turns, landing on bars perched on the sturdy shoulders of catchers.
